Creating online visual content for one of Canberra's most popular restaurants -  (voted Australia's favourite restaurant in 2016) has provided us with an opportunity to learn how to promote the best possible outcome for the business – high level traffic both online and in the restaurant. As the social media manager, we are responsible for ensuring the visual components of the website and social media platforms are professional, awe inspiring and valuable.  

We do this through creating visual content that is high quality, innovative and original. We take all the photographs and videos, doing this with careful consideration for what the message should be. Understanding the demographic of AKIBA is no easy task as this is wide ranging. However, at the core is outstanding service, excellent food within a hip environment – and so the photographs, the infographics and accompanying text play a crucial role in the increasingly competitive role of social media.




Kickstart Expresso

Now with two cafés successfully operating in Canberra, franchising the business is a vision for the owners. Coming in at the beginning of their growth strategy with an innovative approach to creating the best online platform and profile has been essential for the growth of the business and its transition into franchising. We are responsible for building the website, and generating all content including text and photos.  We are currently responsible for all profiles on social media platforms, regular updates and the creation of content in line with the Kickstart’s business goals.




Shackleton’s Coffee

A Canberra based business offering bottled ready-to-drink cold brew coffee, nuts and berries packaged especially for people on the go. Shackleton’s Coffee is owned and operated by us and we are currently working on building the business’ profile through a strategic marketing and business plan. So far this has led to a number of businesses stocking Shackleton’s products.


Escape Rooms Canberra

When Escape Rooms Canberra opened their doors in early 2016, they needed a marketing strategy that would enable them to increase their profile and generate interest. We were asked to contribute to this through an online marketing strategy. Whilst Escape Rooms operated successfully all over the world, they are a new phenomenon to Canberra and thus an innovative approach was required. The basic idea of being locked in a room for an hour trying to work out how to escape could sound appealing or awful – and our task was to make it attractive to groups of friends for fun and work colleagues as a bonding exercise. We took photos, we created themed marketing campaigns and we ensured the business had a high social media profile with valuable and shareable content. The business is now highly successful and our ideas, photos and strategies are still being utilised.


The Side Project

The Side Project is a small culinary endeavour put together by one of Canberra's most popular chefs, Dave young. He creates 5/6 course degustation menu with matching wines, all served with strategic attention to detail. Guests do not know the menu before arriving, and advertising is through online marketing. Our role is to take photos of the events for uploading to social media and promotion for the next dinner. These events have proved to be highly successful and the organisers credit our visual content images as responsible for people knowing about the events and being persuaded to come along. The intention is to tell the story of a fabulous evening through stunning visuals and imagery.
